Princess Street Promenade brings together 100+ local businesses and community groups for a full day of fun, shopping, giveaways, games, and free samples. From 10 AM to 5 PM, enjoy a car-free street filled with local eats and family-friendly activities, then stick around from 6 PM to 9 PM for a free outdoor concert!
Kingston WritersFest
📅 Dates: Sept. 18-21, 2025
📍 Location: Various venues, Kingston, ON
Kingston WritersFest offers a variety of events for book lovers, including free events, a poetry contest, on-stage presentations by authors, and Writers Studio classes. Kingston Poutine Feast

Art After Dark

Art After Dark invites visitors to explore downtown galleries and art-loving shops that stay open late. Enjoy a free walking tour of 28 local galleries and stores, and enter a draw for a chance to win $500 toward the purchase of original artwork at a participating gallery. Pick-Your-Own Apples & Farm Store
📅 Dates: Labour Day Monday – mid October 2025, 7 days a week
📍 Location: Waddell Apples, Kingston, ON
Enjoy a classic fall outing at Waddell Apples, just minutes from Kingston, where you can pick from a variety of fresh apples like Macintosh, Cortland, and Empire in a scenic orchard along the historic Rideau Canal. Purchase medium or large bags for picking, and follow farm guidelines to ensure a safe, fun experience for everyone. The on-site store, housed in a restored 1830s log cabin, offers fresh ready-picked apples and locally made products. Free parking is available, and staff are on hand to help with questions and directions.

Pumpkin Patch & Wagon Rides
📅 Dates: Weekends, Sept 27 – late October 2025 (specific dates listed on website for Thanksgiving weekend)
📍 Location: Fruition Berry Farm, Kingston, ON
Visit Fruition Berry Farm for a classic fall experience with pumpkin picking, tractor-drawn wagon rides, and plenty of fun on the straw bales. You can explore the mini maze (a 10-20 minute wander, perfect for families with little ones). Admission ($3.75 per person, ages 4+) includes the wagon ride and patch access; kids 3 & under are free and leashed dogs are welcome in designated areas. In addition to pumpkins and ready-picked squash, the farm stand offers seasonal favourites like honey, preserves, corn stalks, straw bales, and more. Dress for the fields (boots and layers are recommended).

Moonlight Corn Maze & Halloween Events
📅 Dates: September & October 2025 (specific dates on their website)
📍 Location: Wynn Farms, Kingston, ON
Step into the Arctic Corn Maze Adventure at Wynn Farms! Explore a frozen landscape complete with glaciers, polar bears, and northern lights while learning about life in the Arctic and the knowledge required to survive. Along the way, solve puzzles, collect 10 images, and discover activities to continue the adventure at home. Admission is $6.19 (+ tax) for children 2–12, $9.73 (+ tax) for ages 13+, and free for children under 2 (up to 2 per adult). The maze is open to all ages, with children 12 & under required to be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are not required, and you can explore past maze designs and aerial images on the Wynn Farms website.

Tett@10: Reflections
📅 Dates: Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025
📍 Location: Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning
The Tett Center for Creativity is celebrating its 10th anniversary with Tett@10: Reflections, a one-night celebration. The entire building will transform into a lively showcase of Kingston’s arts community, featuring interactive installations, live performances, hands-on art stations, and plenty of surprises around every corner. Guests are encouraged to dress in festive, creative attire in honour of the theme. The evening also includes a silent auction supporting future arts programming and community initiatives, making it the perfect chance to celebrate, explore, and give back to Kingston’s creative hub.
Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village
📅 Dates: Select nights, October 3 – November 1, 2025
📍 Location: Upper Canada Village, 13740 County Rd 2, Morrisburg, ON
Step into a magical nighttime display of over 7,000 hand-carved pumpkins at Pumpkinferno, one of the region’s most popular fall attractions. Wander through glowing pathways filled with intricate designs, from mythical creatures to cultural landmarks. This Kingston fall outing is perfect for families, couples, or anyone who loves Halloween. Just note that this year’s event is held exclusively at Upper Canada Village, about a 1.5 hour drive from Kingston depending on your starting point.

Fort Fright
📅 Dates: Oct 3-12, Oct 17-Nov 1
📍 Location: Fort Henry
Fort Fright is an outdoor haunted experience designed for thrill-seekers aged 13 and up (parental supervision required for younger teens). Groups of up to 5 explore the spooky grounds for 1–1.5 hours, with scare intensity adjustable via optional Scare Shields ($5). Military discounts are available with ID. Dress for the weather and be prepared for uneven ground. Food and drinks are available on-site, and limited all-terrain wheelchairs can be accommodated. Costumes are welcome, but full face masks, fake weapons, backpacks, and outside food/drinks are not permitted. Guests can take photos and videos in certain areas, but should keep the flow moving to ensure everyone enjoys the experience.

Square Foot Art Show
📅 Dates: Oct 17–19, 2025
📍 Location: Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning
The Square Foot Art Show is an artist-run event featuring 80+ artists, primarily from the local area, with some from across the country. All works are 12"x12", creating a unique, high-energy environment where both new and seasoned collectors can discover beautiful art. Visitors can enjoy live painting and other interactive experiences. Admission is free!

Enjoy the festive nighttime parade along Princess Street, perfect for families and holiday enthusiasts. The parade leaves at 5:00 pm from the Bath Road/Princess Street area, and continues down Princess to Ontario Street.
